GNSS RF Receiver IP

IP Description

The Qualinx IPGNSSRX300 RF transceiver is an ultra-low power, fully- integrated multi-constellation GNSS RF receiver in a GlobalFoundries 22nm FDX process. It supports concurrent reception of GPS/QZSS/SBAS, Galileo, GLONASS, and Beidou navigation satellite signals at the same time. It delivers the most power efficient GNSS receiver available with a low noise figure. It enables customers to lengthen battery life in their products while offering the lowest BOM cost. It can operate at supply voltage of 1–1.98V from a Zinc-air or single-cell battery.

The RF IP is optimized for a low-power IoT devices. The receiver includes GNSS RF Front-end using Digital-RF (DRF) patented technology, Qualinx digital PLL (IPDPLL102), and LDO/PMU shown in red color.

Features

Ultra-Low Power Consumption

This IP leverages Qualinx Digital/Discrete-Time RF (DRF) technology to reduce the power consumption. Its navigation baseband engine utilized an innovative architecture to present superior performance while consuming extremely low-power. It offers superior performance with low power consumption.

Lowest BOM Cost

The IPGNSSRX300 includes built-in LNA, and Digital-PLL. The LNA matching network is also integrated and it does not need any external component.

Applications

The IPGNSSRX300 is an ideal stand-alone GNSS solution for wearables and asset/fleet/livestock tracking, where small size, ultra-low power, and low-cost are mandatory. Combining these features with its high performance makes the IPGNSSRX300 a perfect choice for below applications.
